Dear Bless You Inc Visitors and Fans:
We at Bless You Inc would like to thank God, whose Spirit has called and moved us to this ministry — and in so doing, truly blessed us as much as those He’s helped through us.
We’d also like to thank you, our visitors, friends, and neighbors for supporting us, whether it’s through a generous donation, volunteering to help pack or move trailers, or helping us get the word out.
We’d like to remind everyone that Bless You Inc is not just one Iowa farmer, and it’s not just a single-ministry mission; God has brought together several ministries and many volunteers to help people all over the country.
Here’s just one case in which the Spirit brought together many puzzle pieces to help in a disaster:
After the 2013 series of tornadoes in Oklahoma, two groups (among many others) helped with cleanup in the Shawnee area: Chainsaw Ministries and Firefighters for Christ. The Oklahoma-based Joshua Foundation partnered with us to identify families who’d lost their homes in the tornadoes and who needed our travel trailers to live in while rebuilding. Finally, Samaritan’s Purse, a global disaster relief organization that had also helped with cleanup, built new permanent homes for some residents.
Each of these organizations (and each volunteer) brings a unique area of expertise or ability to help – and all of these pieces are required to make a difference.
Volunteers are servants – but most will tell you that the rewards and blessings they feel by helping others far outweighs the time and effort they put in!
Wondering how you can help? Here are just a few ideas:
- Click the “Donate” button on the right side of the page. You don’t have to donate a whole travel trailer to make a difference – every dollar counts!
- If you hear of a trailer being hauled to a new disaster area, or of volunteers traveling through your area to help, offer a tank of gas or a place to stay for the night.
- Talk to your church, Bible study group, or just friends and neighbors about ways you can get involved – whether that means volunteering in your community, donating to our ministry (or our partners), or helping us spread the word.
A Note on Helping Our Local Communities
We’ve heard this question (and understand where it comes from): “Why don’t you help people right here in Iowa (or at least the Midwest)? Why do you only help people far away?”
The truth is…we DO help those closer to home, too! We’ve offered trailers to families in the area who have lost their homes to fires (and if you know of someone who needs one of our campers, please contact us at the phone number or email address on the right side of the page). In 2021, we are expanding our mission to build a house for Randy and Rosie Van Engen of Doon, Iowa. See their story on our Facebook page.

Thank you, and God bless.
